I used to live in a warehouse/garage in Central Square. We had
3500 ft^2 of space and our rooms didn't take up much of that,
so we had a huge shop and a huge common area. To fill up all
that space with sound, we needed something BIG. During college
I had worked for a guy at an audio company who had worked on
the Bose Wavecannon design, and he had one of those at his
office.
The Bose Wavecannon was 12 ft long and probably 8 inches in
diameter (I think), and it sounded awesome at the low
end. Like any decent dork, I had been wanting to build one for
years. This is the story of that quest.
